Honda Xcelerator Ventures Invests in Quemix to Accelerate the Real-World Application of Quantum Technology

Honda Xcelerator Ventures is pleased to announce its investment in Quemix Inc., a company advancing quantum computing algorithms and software development.
Through this investment, HXV will further strengthen its collaboration with Quemix to accelerate the practical application of quantum technology, particularly in next-generation materials development.
Quemix has been working closely with Honda through joint research initiatives utilizing quantum computing technologies. Together, the companies have achieved significant milestones, including the development of a world-first technology for quantum state readout in 2025 and a new quantum algorithm in 2026 that significantly accelerates Density Functional Theory (DFT) calculations, a foundational approach in computational materials science.
Building on this collaboration, Quemix aims to advance quantum technology beyond research and experimentation toward real-world implementation, helping accelerate the development of next-generation materials and other advanced developments.
