Kazuhide “Kaz” Kimura

Kaz is the Global Head of Venture Relationships, responsible for sourcing startups and managing strategic partnerships worldwide. Prior to joining Honda Innovations, Kaz spent 10 years at KPMG FAS in Tokyo, specializing in strategy consulting with a focus on M&A advisory, commercial due diligence, and innovation management. He led numerous projects related to the design and implementation of corporate venture capital (CVC) programs and advised major Japanese corporations on open innovation strategies. Kaz also worked at KPMG Israel for three years, supporting the Tel Aviv office across audit, tax, and advisory services, while also contributing to technology scouting and investment activities for Japanese corporate clients. He is the author of Jisso CVC and Jikko CVC, and has contributed to NIKKEI Tech Foresight on Israel’s technology landscape. He also serves as an Invited Researcher at the Waseda University Center on Finance and Innovation.
