Honda Xcelerator Ventures (HXV) is proud to share that portfolio company Reverion has achieved a new world record in thermal power plant efficiency.
The Munich-based company Reverion reached an electrical efficiency of 74.2%, surpassing the previous world record of 64.18% and setting a new benchmark for sustainable energy technologies. This milestone demonstrates that high-performance power generation and ecological responsibility can go hand in hand.
Reverion’s container-based fuel cell power plant not only generates electricity at record-breaking efficiency but also enables reversible methane and hydrogen production, offering flexible solutions for renewable energy integration. The system has the potential to optimize energy use independent of intermittent sources like solar and wind, supporting a more resilient and circular energy economy.
The achievement was led by founders Stephan Herrmann, Felix Fischer, Jeremias Weinrich, Maximilian Hauck, and Luis Poblotzki, showcasing the team’s dedication to advancing energy innovation and setting ambitious industry standards.
