“I received a Diploma in Bioinformatics in 2008 and a Ph.D. in Computational Neuroscience in 2012 from Goethe University and Frankfurt Institute for Advanced Studies in Frankfurt, Germany. Since 2011, I’ve been with Honda Research Institute Europe GmbH in Offenbach, Germany working as a research scientist. In parallel, I helped set up the European satellite of the Honda Xcelerator program as the local representative in 2017. Right now, I mostly focus on technology assessment and on running concrete collaboration projects with startups at Honda Research Institute Europe GmbH. My main interests include autonomous driving/ADAS, cooperative robotics, and models of human cognition.
My favorite thing about Honda is that Honda products cover such a wide variety of areas: cars, motorcycles, airplanes, robots (of course!), and even gardening tools. This allows us to find use cases/applications for almost any interesting innovation from inside and outside. “
