We are proud to announce that  Honda made an additional investment in Helm.ai, a California-based AI software startup specializing in advanced technologies developed through unsupervised learning. Helm.ai has been a valued partner of Honda since 2019 through Honda Xcelerator Ventures (formerly, Honda Xcelerator), and this new investment will further strengthen our collaboration in developing next-generation end-to-end (E2E) autonomous driving (AD) and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Since Honda\u2019s initial investment in 2022, both companies have been working closely to integrate Helm.ai\u2019s cutting-edge AI with Honda\u2019s automotive technologies. In July 2025, both parties signed a multi-year joint development agreement focused on E2E AI architecture that manages everything from environmental perception to decision-making and vehicle actuation.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Through this additional investment, Honda aims to accelerate the development of its next-generation ADAS for key EV and HEV models launching in North America and Japan around 2027. Leveraging Helm.ai\u2019s proprietary Deep Teaching\u2122 and generative AI technologies, Honda will advance safe, reliable driver-assistance systems capable of handling complex driving conditions across expressways and surface roads.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

This collaboration represents a key step toward Honda\u2019s goal of achieving zero fatalities from traffic collisions involving Honda motorcycles and automobiles globally by 2050, while continuing to deliver innovative and inspiring mobility experiences.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
