Honda Innovations is working with Honda operations globally to establish startup liaisons, providing protocols and best practices identifying and engaging with startups and entrepreneurs who share Honda’s vision for transforming mobility.
The first of Honda Xcelerator’s global launch events took place on November 30th at Honda R&D Americas in Detroit, Michigan. Co-organized by Honda Innovations and Honda R&D Americas Detroit, over 100 gathered at the Westin Atrium to hear about Honda’s expanded engagement in the local startup scene. Startups BRAIQ, Haas Alert, and Tome joined to celebrate the occasion. An hour of networking and startup demos kicked-off the evening including a special tour of the HRA-DT garage. Honda Xcelerator Detroit Startup Liaisons, Eric Blumbergs, Shige “CJ” Saigusa, and Shitij Rastogi shared with the crowd their previous work with startups and how the Honda Xcelerator program will help their open innovation initiatives grow.
